Hyderabad: Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) India, the apex body of engineering exporters, has sought an immediate intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to rein in a sharp spike in steel prices and help the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) manufacturing exporters.
In a statement on Thursday, EEPC India said the Indian steel makers have raised the prices across different product categories in the backdrop of the restrictions that the government imposed on the imports from China, Vietnam and South Korea.
